Grey Bruce Pride Events Celebrate Pride Month
There are events going on throughout June to celebrate Pride Month in Grey Bruce. Here’s an event list courtesy of Grey Bruce Pride.
June 1: 9:00 a.m., Pride Flag raising with the City of Owen Sound, Bayshore Community Centre, 1900 3rd Ave East.
Flags will be raised in many other municipalities across Grey Bruce, most for the first time! See our Facebook page for detail of time and place.
June 2: 7:00 pm, Games Night for LGBTQ2 folk in their 20s and 30s, at Scenic City Games, 807 2nd Ave E. in Owen Sound.
June 7: 6:00-8:00 pm, Community Art: Owen Sound Public Library. Paint a book-bag and/or a ball cap. Markers, paints, caps, bags, and glitzy things will be provided. No cost, donations accepted, all ages are welcome.
June 9: 2:30-4:30 pm, same as June 7.
June 10: Owen Sound Pride parade: 11:00 a.m., 2nd Ave E from 10th St to 7th St.
June 12: 6 p.m – 8:00 p.m. Pride & Prejudice, the group for LGBTQ2 youth aged 14-19, meets in the Owen Sound library Boardroom, right behind the main desk.
June 19: 7:00 p.m, PFLAG, peer support for parents and friends of LGBTQ2 folk. Owen Sound

June 21: 6:00 pm, Movie night at the OS Library (downstairs): The Oscar winning “Call Me By Your Name.” rated 14A. No charge, donations welcome.
June 23: 7:00-10:00 p.m., Line Dancing instruction and fun. Come and try line dancing as taught by one of our own. Family-friendly, all ages, no charge, donations welcome. St George’s Hall, Owen Sound.
