current initiatives

Conducting research

Violence and abuse are complex social issues and research provides us with direction and strategies.

Coordinating our community response

VPGB focuses on building a common agenda and practical tools to end violence and abuse in our community.

Education & training

VPGB members offer a broad range of training on abuse related topics and violence prevention at home, in the workplace and in the community.

Engaging all citizens

Everyone has a role to play in ending violence and abuse – and every action counts.

Working together is the key to preventing and ending violence in all its forms.

Everyone has a role to play in ending violence and abuse — and every action counts.

Our members come from justice, corrections, child welfare, violence against women, education, health, and social service sectors working in Grey, Bruce, Nawash, Saugeen and Owen Sound. Women who use services, faith groups and community leaders are also engaged VPGB members.

We are leading the way to a safer community.

Our shared vision is an inclusive community where all people live their lives free from all forms of violence and oppression, and have equal access to the best of what the community has to offer.
